     Crochet Ugg Style Baby Booties

     •Recommended Yarns: Lion Brand Yarns Wool Ease Thick & Quick; 80%

     acrylic/20%wool for body and Lion Brand Yarns Feels Like Bliss; 100% nylon for

     trim.

     •Crochet hook: newborn sole length: 3.0" hook: H; 0-3 months sole length: 3.5"

     hook: I; 3-6 months sole length: 3.85" hook: J; 6-12 months sole length: 4.25"

     hook: K; 12-18 months sole length: 4.85" hook: L


     Row 1: Make slip knot, chain (ch) 6, turn

     Row 2: Start in 2nd stitch (st) from hook, work 2hdc x 1, place marker (pm) into

     first st, hdc x 3, 6 hdc into last stitch on chain. Now work other side of chain:

     hdc x 3, 2hdc x 1. Join row with slip stitch (ss) into 1st stitch of round 1 at stitch

     marker, ch 1 (16 sts).

     Row 3: 2hdc x 2 (pm into 1st st), hdc x 3, 2hdc x 6, hdc x 3, 2hdc x 2, ss, ch 1 (26

     sts).

     Row 4: Starting with 2nd st,work next round in back loop only, hdc x 25 (pm in

     1st st), hdc next st into ss from row 3, ss, ch 1 (26 sts).

     Row 5: sc x 1, pm, sc x 4, hdc x 2, dc2tog x 6, hdc x 2, sc x 5, ss, ch 1 (20 sts).

     Row 6: sc x 1, pm, sc2tog x 1, sc x 4, hdc2tog x 3, sc x 4, sc2tog x 1, sc x 1, ss (15

     sts). Break yarn and slip yarn tail through last slip stitch (use the slip st as an

     extra stitch in next row for legs -16 sts), weave in yarn tail.

     Rows 7-8: HDC x 15, join row with (ss) into 1st stitch of previous round at stitch

     marker, ch 1 (15 sts).

     Row 9: HDC x 15, join row with (ss) into 1st stitch of previous round at stitch

     marker, ch 1 (15 sts). Cut yarn and slip yarn tail through last st.

     Row 10: Use 2 strands of trim yarn at the same time. HDC all sts along entire

     edge of leg opening.

     Row 11: Slip stitch directly under row 10 x 15 sts. Cut yarn and slip yarn tail

     through last st
