Heres the Pattern:

Fair Isle Christmas Ball Ornament
Yarn: medium worsted weight yarn #4 -2 colors: color A-red: 1 ball, color B-white: 1 ball; approximately 20 grams (stash yarn)
Needles and Notions: double pointed needles: US 6 (4mm), -stuffing, stitch marker (optional)
Hanging Loop: With color A, cast on 3 sts and follow instructions to form I-chord Loop. Continue with color A to shape top of ornament.
Shape Top
Increase Row: kf/b of all 3sts (6sts). Divide 6sts onto 3 needles and work in the round. Use stitch marker for the beginning of row (optional).
Round 1: (color A) knit
Round 2: (color A) kf/b of 6sts (12sts)
Round 3: (color A) knit
Round 4: (color A) kf/b of 12sts (24sts)
Round 5: (color B) knit
Round 6: (color A) (k1, kfb) x 12 (36sts)
Round 7 : (color B) knit
Round 8: (color A) k2, kf/b) x 12 (48sts)
Next round begin Fair Isle Ornament Chart. Do not cut colors but instead carry them up the rows (do not knit blue rows).

Shape Bottom
Decrease Rows: Use color A only
Round 1: (k2, k2tog) x 12 (36sts)
Round 2: knit
Round 3: (k1, k2tog) x 12 (24sts)
Round 4: knit
Round 5: k2tog x12 (12sts)
Round 6: knit
Round 7: k2tog x12 (6sts)
Add stuffing to ornament to create ball shape.
Round 8: knit
Add remaining stuffing to ornament ball if needed to create desired shape.
Cut yarn and slip yarn tail through remaining 6sts and pull tight to close.
Weave in yarn tails.
