This week has been all about learning, experimenting, and trying new things with yarn and my leftover yarn stashes. One of my favorite discoveries? How simple it really is to crochet an Irish Rose flower 🌸. It may look complex at first glance, but trust me -it’s quick, beginner-friendly, and a perfect little project if you want to practice the most common crochet stitches.
And the best part? This flower is so versatile. With a little elastic band attached, I’ve been using mine as a luggage tag, a bracelet/corsage, and even a hair tie. I wore mine as a bracelet around town today and had that amazing feeling you get when you wear something handmade — just like putting on your own sweater.

This week has been full of yarn adventures:
- ✨ Sweater Experiment: I visited Michaels to pick up some yarn for a sweater design. I chose Yarnspirations Caron Blossom Cake, and in a fun twist, the color matched the outfit I was wearing — a sign, right? I’ll share a yarn review once the sweater is finished.
- 🎥 Learning Livestreaming: I’ve been teaching myself how to go Live on YouTube. It’s been a big learning curve, but so much fun connecting directly with viewers. Don’t forget to subscribe on YouTube so you don’t miss the next live tutorial.
- 🌀 Mandalas & Flowers: I’ve been learning how to crochet mandalas (which gave me ideas for future projects) and experimenting with lots of new flowers. That’s how I ended up with the Irish Rose pattern I shared this week.
💌 Wrap-Up
The Irish Rose is proof that even a small project can make you feel creative and confident. Whether you turn it into a luggage tag, bracelet, or hair tie, it’s a simple way to add beauty to everyday life.
